Season’s Greetings! (and an update)

Yikes! It’s been ages since I last posted anything here. It’s been ages too since I last published anything. What’s going on? The short answer is that I’ve been outrageously busy with the day job, like non-stop swamped with things for months on end, so much so that I’ve barely had time to think, let alone write. My last book, Pathway to Depravity came out as long ago as May, and even then, that was the product of time spent re-writing an old, previously unpublished story, not something wholly new – the last properly new writing was Straying at Home, which hasn’t (so far) sold especially well, but was at least a fun thing to write. (I also wrote a 4,000 word story in August, but as it’s too short for a standalone, it’s tucked away to be used a bonus story, or as part of a bundle, at some point in the future).

Hopefully – hopefully – I’ll be able to find time to write in 2026. I’ve got ideas piling up, and I’d love to get some of them out there. Just recently, when I’ve had a few moments to myself, I’ve been tinkering with the opening of Book 3 in the Poolside Pleasure series, so that’s the most likely thing to come out next. The idea is that it will be another series crossover – I’m planning on having Kimberly meet Amber and Jennifer and have them all enjoy the biggest, wildest party by Kimberly’s pool yet. Hopefully that’s gotsomeone‘s interest piqued! I’ve also got ideas of going back to Holly and Nick and starting a new story about their life after Amber left. Outside of what I’m going to call the ‘Philip Mitchell Stein universe’, I’ve got ideas for standalone stories that I really want to write. Mostly they’re the big complicated things, along the lines of the stories I wrote a few years ago (The Sin of Love, Meaningless Masturbation, etc.) – character driven stories with proper plots. At least one of them will come out next year, I promise!

The other thing I should probably comment on is my indecision about what to do with my social media accounts. I can’t think when I last posted anywhere. Twitter/X no longer feels anything like the community I joined back in the day, and the replacement I had in mind – Bluesky – doesn’t feel like it’s developing into that community either. If any of you reading this know where I should be hanging out, I’d love for you to tell me!

Anyway, the main thing I want to say is that with 2025 coming to a close, I hope everyone reading this has a successful 2026 – and if you’re here because you were looking for news on new writing from me, I promise there will be some!
